Hiroshi Tanahashi’s farewell is set: he will take on longtime rival Kazuchika Okada in his retirement match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20.
Okada, one of Tanahashi’s most iconic opponents, will return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling for the first time since February 2024 to share the ring with him one last time.
Tanahashi also revealed that he and Shinsuke Nakamura have talked about the possibility of having one final match together.
Over the years, Tanahashi has battled many familiar foes and emerging names, and now the journey culminates at Wrestle Kingdom 20 against Okada.
